Ready-Set-Run
My half-marathon is coming up in ten days! The past two-three weeks my right foot has been really bothering me. I cut back on my distances, but every day after I ran it still made it pretty sore. I was going to give in and go into the health center, but the health center here is awful. So I started doing some of my own research and I think that I have peroneal tendonitis. I've been icing and giving it a rest but it makes me nervous that I had to miss my 14 mile run this weekend. I'm not sure how much longer I should try to stay off of my foot... I would look into new shoes to help as well, but I don't think I want to switch shoes this close to the half marathon! I'm hoping that it will be better in the next couple days and I can get in another long run, but that might be pushing it!

I am sorry Kate! That has to be terrible! If we have to do a later half marathon that's no problem!
ReplyDeleteYIKES! I can totally aympathize with you... Depending on the exact site of your pain, it could be plantar facitis. If so, you need to really stretch your calves!!
