Orange County

It finally feels like summer! I was thinking I was going to have a lot more time but somehow it just flew by. O-chem really took a big chunk of my time, I am glad to have that done! Now I only have a week more of class and I couldn't be happier! But I started off my mini summer with a trip down to socal. I made my first stop down in LA to visit with Lyle and Willie. It's always nice to see them, I'm glad that we've all been able to keep in touch even if we do rarely see each other anymore these days. I guess that's what happens when you start growing up.

After that I was on the road again to visit my old roommates Ericka and Becca. We had a blast! It was a lot of fun for me to be able to go back to Irvine where I lived for nine months and visit some of the my favorite spots, especially the Spectrum. One of the best shopping centers! Becca just recently turned 21 so of course we had to go check out the downtown area in Newport : ) SLO just can't compare. I love the idea of a photo booth downtown. This is the only picture that I have until Ericka uploads her pictures. We spent the next day relaxing at Huntington Beach. There was some kind of surfing competition going on so it was really packed too. And... I didn't know if this would ever happen but I found a sushi place comparable to Mikuni's! We went to downtown Fullerton and had sushi and it was amazing! Overall it was a pretty good weekend, I wouldn't mind a repeat.

On another note I haven't gotten nearly as far in my research as I had hoped. I guess a lot of things take longer than expected. I'm hoping once I get all the materials and everything that I need it will go a little bit faster.

However, since I'm waiting on the research and only have one more summer school class, this weekend I'm going camping at the ocean with the family. I've been going home so often that since I haven't been home in three weeks it feels like it has been forever! I hope that it doesn't get too cold, I hate being cold and I get cold so easily! Maybe I'll post about it when I get back and try to beat three months between posts!
