Only three more days until my summer is officially here!! And I found out last Monday that I was accepted into the Stem Cell Program. That means that I will start some research this summer and then all my labs and seminars in the fall followed by a nine month internship and my thesis. And my future roomie was accepted along with me! They took ten students and only four of them were from BMED. I'm still waiting for a meeting to find out some more details. I know they mentioned that the companies we will be choosing from for internships were UCSD, Standford and then three private companies in San Diego and they said possibly UCSB. But I wont find out about that until it gets closer to June of next year and know more what I want to research about. So I was originally going to put up a picture having to do with stem cells but in my imaging class we just did a confocal microscopy lab, this picture is mouse intestine and I just love the bright colors! On another good note I am officially no longer a collegiate member of my sorority! Yayyyy. I didn't have the greatest experience and would like to say to anyone thinking about joining a sorority do FORMAL RECRUITMENT. I think this is one of my biggest regrets and could have found a much better fit for myself. When a lot of my friends dropped I decided I was going to stick it out and I have to admit I did enjoy senior week but I'm not sure if I would do it again. But something to learn from right? Anyways, back to studying, I can't believe how fast this year has gone by!
